What we build
Custom Balloon Arches for Dallas Celebrations
Nothing changes a room faster. An arch tells every guest where to look and where to stand for the picture.
Think of a balloon arch as a frame made of balloons. It curves over whatever matters most that day, whether that's a front door, a cake, a stage, a newly married couple or a graduate in a cap. It gives you the visual punch of florals or draping for much less money, and it reads clearly from the back of a ballroom, on a phone screen and on video.
We design each arch from your event outward. First the colors, then the space you really have to work with, then the balloon mix that gets the shape right: tiny 5-inch fillers, everyday 11-inch balloons, 18- and 24-inch statement pieces, plus chrome, pearl or foil accents where they help. On the day, we bring it all, build it in place and come back to take it down.
Our Dallas balloon arches show up at first birthdays, baby showers, gender reveals, bridal showers and weddings, graduation and homecoming parties, quinceañeras, office events and store openings. Anywhere there's a doorway, a table or a spot people will line up for photos, an arch earns its place.
Arch styles
Balloon Arch Styles We Build
Shape sets the mood before color does. Here's each arch style we offer and where it shines.
Organic balloon arches
Organic arches skip the repeating pattern. Balloons of different sizes are grouped in loose, uneven clusters, so the arch looks lush and a little untamed, which is the look most people are picturing when they save an arch online. They take greenery and florals beautifully and suit showers, weddings and big birthdays. Because they pack in more balloons per foot than a classic arch, they sit a little higher on the price list.
Classic and spiral balloon arches
Classic arches stack tight four-balloon clusters of one size along a frame. Rotate the colors from cluster to cluster and the arch turns into a spiral, with two, three or four colors winding around it like ribbon on a maypole. The result is crisp and durable, and it shows off school, team and brand colors better than any other style, so it's still the favorite for graduations, booster club banquets and company events.
Round, circle and hoop arches
A round arch, also sold as a balloon ring, circle or hoop, runs balloons around some or all of a circular frame. A full ring frames a person in photos. A crescent covering one side leaves the middle open for a name or a backdrop panel to show through. Rounds are the pick for photo corners, proposals and sweet 16 parties.
Square and backdrop arches
Square arches follow a rectangular frame up one side, across the top and down the other, often wrapped around a backdrop panel, shimmer wall or flower wall. You get a defined stage for the cake table and a clean edge for pictures. For an arch and backdrop planned as one piece, see our balloon backdrops.
Half and asymmetrical arches
A half arch (some decorators call it a swoop or a demi arch) rises up one side of a door, panel or table and trails off before it reaches the other. It looks current and designed, and because it uses fewer balloons, it's a clever way to get a big effect on a smaller budget.
Double arches
Two arches layered together, one nested inside the other or set a step behind it, give the design real depth. Doubles make sense in large rooms such as hotel ballrooms in Las Colinas or a church sanctuary, where one arch on its own can look small from the back row.
Mini and tabletop arches
Tabletop arches run about 4 to 6 feet across and frame a single table: the cake, the desserts, the gifts or the sweetheart table. They're made for Uptown apartments, restaurant private rooms in Bishop Arts and baby showers where there's no floor space to spare.
Entrance and doorway arches
An entrance arch points guests to the party before they reach the door. We build them over front doors, garage doors, porch steps, venue entries and shop fronts. Outdoor entrance arches get extra weight and tie-downs, because the steady south wind across North Texas doesn't take the day off. Add balloon columns on each side for a complete entry.
Large and giant balloon arches
Large arches start around 16 feet and cover double doors, stages and driveways. Giant arches for store openings, school events and festivals stretch 25 to 40 feet using 24- and 36-inch balloons. At that scale the job becomes a custom balloon installation, planned around the site and its wind exposure.
Balloon arches with flowers and greenery
Tuck silk or fresh blooms, eucalyptus, pampas or trailing greenery into the clusters and you get a floral balloon arch. It's the gentlest, most wedding-friendly version, and it's a regular at bridal showers, baptisms and Mother's Day brunches.

Sizing
Balloon Arch Sizes: How Big Should Your Arch Be?
Grab a tape measure before you pick a size. Too small and it disappears in photos; too large and it crowds the entrance.
| Arch size | Fits | Approx. balloons |
|---|---|---|
| 4–6 ft tabletop or mini | Cake, dessert and gift tables | 60–110 organic |
| 6.5–7 ft frame arch | Photo corners, single doors, small backdrops | 90–130 organic |
| 10–12 ft arch | Front doors, porch steps, 8 ft backdrops | 150–220 organic or 60–75 classic |
| 16–20 ft arch | Double doors, stages, 10 ft backdrops | 240–360 organic or 100–130 classic |
| 25 ft and larger | Store openings, gyms, outdoor entries | Designed per site |
We measure arches along the curve, not straight across. A 16–20 ft arch usually stands about 8–9 ft high and spans 8–10 ft at the base. Exact counts depend on balloon sizes and how full you want it.
How many balloons for a balloon arch? Plan on roughly 5 or 6 balloons per foot for a classic arch of 11-inch balloons, and 12 to 18 per foot for an organic arch, since it layers 5-, 11- and 18-inch sizes. That puts a 6 ft organic arch at around 70 to 110 balloons and a 20 ft organic arch at 240 to 360. Fifty balloons will cover a small tabletop or half arch, but not a full arch over a doorway.
Pricing
How Much Does a Balloon Arch Cost in Dallas?
Most full-size arches we build come in between $225 and $550. Here are our starting prices and the things that move them.
| Arch | Starting at |
|---|---|
| Tabletop or mini arch (4–6 ft) | $185 |
| Frame arch with garland (6.5–7 ft) | $225 |
| Doorway arch (10–12 ft) | $295 |
| Themed welcome arch with foil accents | $335 |
| Full balloon arch (16–20 ft) | $425 |
| Double, giant and 25 ft+ arches | Custom quote |
Delivery, setup and pickup are included within about 40 miles of Downtown Dallas. Farther drives, such as Denton or west Fort Worth, add a travel fee starting at $55.
What affects what a balloon arch costs:
- Length and density. A longer or fuller arch takes more balloons and more hands-on time.
- Style. Organic designs need more balloons per foot than classic or spiral ones.
- The balloons themselves. Chrome, pearl, double-stuffed custom shades and oversized 18–36 inch balloons cost more than standard latex.
- Extras. Florals, greenery, foil shapes, vinyl names, marquee letters and backdrop panels.
- How it stands. Most quotes include a frame or stand; rigging the arch from a venue's beams or trusses takes extra labor.
- Distance and timing. A Mesquite-to-McKinney run, a 7 AM install or a narrow hotel dock window all show up in the quote.
- Takedown. We can come back for everything, or you can keep the balloons and skip the pickup.
For an exact figure, send us the date, the venue, the size and your colors, and we'll reply with a written quote. Each of our other services lists its own starting prices too: garlands, columns and backdrops.

Colors and themes
Popular Balloon Arch Colors and Themes
Send us an invitation, a screenshot or a single color you love, and we'll build the palette around it.
Palettes Dallas hosts ask for most
- Black and gold. Still the go-to for milestone birthdays and New Year's Eve.
- Blush and white, pink and gold, ivory and champagne. Bridal showers, baby showers and first birthdays.
- Pastels and rainbow. Kids' parties, Easter and anything meant to feel cheerful.
- Navy, silver and white. Game-day watch parties in Cowboys colors, plus military homecomings.
- Sage, dusty blue, rust and other earth tones. The boho look for showers and outdoor weddings.
- School colors. Graduations, homecoming week and senior nights, from SMU red and blue to your high school's own.
- Red and gold, or saffron and magenta. Lunar New Year and Diwali parties across Plano, Richardson, Irving and Frisco.
Themes
For character parties we pair licensed foil balloons with latex in matching shades. Bluey, Mickey and Minnie, Spider-Man, Paw Patrol, Toy Story, Hello Kitty, Pokémon and Winnie the Pooh come up most. Other regulars include dinosaurs, mermaids, the very hungry caterpillar, teddy-bear baby showers and Texas western themes with denim, bandana red and cowhide prints, especially during State Fair season.
Your options
Balloon Arch Rental, Full Installation or a DIY Kit?
You can get an arch into your party a few different ways. Here's how they stack up.
| Option | What's included | Works best when |
|---|---|---|
| Full installation | Design, delivery, on-site build and pickup | You want it right and would rather not be on a ladder the morning of |
| Balloon arch rental | A finished frame arch dropped off, then collected | Smaller arches, photo corners, simple layouts |
| Grab-and-go garland | A built garland you collect and hang | Short runs over a table or wall, lean budgets |
| DIY balloon arch kit | Loose balloons, a decorating strip and glue dots | Small arches, a free afternoon and a patient helper |
Is a balloon arch easy to make? A small arch from a kit is a fair first project if you own a pump and have an afternoon free. A full organic arch is a different story. A pro builds one on-site in one to three hours, while a first attempt often eats four to eight, plus a second run to the store. Balloons inflated too early, or with the wrong pump, pop, sag and turn cloudy. When the arch is the main event, having it built is usually money well spent.
North Texas weather
Outdoor Balloon Arches in Dallas Heat, Sun and Wind
An arch can absolutely go outdoors here. It just needs planning around North Texas weather.
Dallas summers are hard on latex. July and August highs sit in the mid-to-upper 90s, and most summers bring a run of triple-digit afternoons. Strong sun causes three problems: heat swells the air inside each balloon until some burst, UV turns latex cloudy and dull within hours, and dark shades like black and navy soak up the most heat. Spring brings its own trouble, since April through June is storm season, with gusty south winds, sudden thunderstorms and the occasional hail.
- Find the shade. Covered patios, porches, tents and the east side of the house in the afternoon all buy your arch hours.
- Build close to party time. For summer afternoon events, we schedule the install near the start instead of at breakfast.
- Skip the helium. Anything we build outdoors is filled with air and mounted on a frame, since helium gives out quickly in Texas heat.
- Go lighter outdoors. Whites, pastels and metallics outlast black and deep navy in direct sun.
- Anchor it. Every outdoor arch gets weighted bases and tie-downs, because North Texas wind gusts arrive with little warning.
- Watch the radar. A sprinkle won't hurt latex. Lightning, hail or strong wind means moving the arch indoors or under cover.
Longevity
How Long Does a Balloon Arch Last?
Air-filled and indoors, an arch lasts for days. Outside in a Dallas summer, plan for the length of the party.
| Setup | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Air-filled, indoors with A/C | Several days, frequently a week or longer |
| Air-filled, outdoors in shade (spring and fall) | All day, often into the next |
| Air-filled, outdoors in full summer sun | A few hours before fading and popping |
| Helium arch or helium bouquets | Hours, unless the balloons are treated |
Will my balloon arch last 4 days? If it's air-filled and inside, yes. That's why a night-before install works so well for morning events, and why arches for multi-day events stay indoors. Can you set up a balloon arch the night before? Indoors, no problem at all. Outdoors from June through September, a same-day build is the better call.

Questions
Balloon Arches in Dallas: FAQ
What does it cost for a balloon arch?
Our arches start at $185 for a tabletop size, $225 for a 6.5–7 ft frame arch and $425 for a full 16–20 ft arch, with delivery and installation included. The final price depends on size, style, balloon count, extras and how far we drive.
How long do balloon arches last?
Air-filled arches last several days indoors, often a week or more with the A/C running. In outdoor shade, expect about a day. In full Dallas summer sun, expect a few hours. Helium arches last hours unless they're treated.
How many balloons do you need for a balloon arch?
Figure about 12 to 18 balloons per foot for an organic arch and 5 to 6 per foot for a classic one. A 6 ft arch needs roughly 70 to 110 balloons, and a 20 ft organic arch needs 240 to 360.
What's the difference between a balloon arch and a balloon garland?
A garland is the bendable strand of balloon clusters itself, which can drape a mantel, a table, a wall or a doorway. An arch is a garland, or classic clusters, mounted on a frame or anchors so it stands and curves on its own.
Do balloon arches use helium?
Usually not. Arches are filled with air and supported by a frame, so they last longer and cost less. Helium is for floating arches and bouquets, which only look their best for hours to a day.
Can you put a balloon arch outside in Dallas?
Yes. Outdoor arches are air-filled, weighted and tied down, and they do best in shade. Summer sun and heat will fade and pop latex within hours, so outdoor arches from June to September are built close to start time.
Can I get inflated balloons delivered?
Yes. Every arch, garland, column and wall we sell arrives inflated and assembled, or is built on-site. We deliver across Dallas and the surrounding suburbs, and you can also collect a grab-and-go garland yourself.
What can I use to stick balloons to a wall?
Removable adhesive hooks and fishing line are the safest choice, and glue dots work for single balloons on a sealed surface. Skip tape on painted walls, because it pulls paint. For anything bigger than a small cluster, a freestanding frame in front of the wall is the better answer.
How far in advance should I book a balloon arch?
Two to four weeks is ideal. Book sooner for graduation season in late May and early June, homecoming in the fall, Halloween and December weekends, and fall wedding Saturdays.
Can you set up a balloon arch the night before?
Indoors, yes. An air-filled arch built the evening before looks the same the next morning. Outdoor arches should go up on the day of the event.
What if a guest has a latex allergy?
Ask us for a latex-free design. Arches, walls and backdrops can be made entirely from foil balloons, and many hospitals, schools and offices require foil only.
Do you tip a balloon arch decorator?
Tipping is optional. Some hosts tip the crew 10–15% after a large or early-morning install, and others leave a review instead.
